From 18 to 24 January 2027, the Principality hosts the 95th edition of the Rallye Monte-Carlo, an emblematic round of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC). Mountain roads known for their shifting winter conditions, steep elevation changes, and a highly selective route: the “Monte” remains one of the most anticipated events of the rally season.
A demanding route, a legend born in 1911
First organised in 1911 to promote Monaco as a winter tourist destination, the Rallye Monte-Carlo is now one of the oldest and most prestigious motorsport competitions in the world. Within a single special stage, crews can face dry, wet, snowy or icy tarmac — a unique blend of technicality and unpredictability that has built its legend.
The detailed Rallye Monte-Carlo 2027 route, special stages and spectator zones will be announced soon by the Automobile Club de Monaco.
The greats of the rally
Sébastien Ogier holds the record with ten wins, ahead of Sébastien Loeb (eight wins), partnered by Monegasque co-driver Daniel Elena for seven of his victories. In 2026, Oliver Solberg and Elliott Edmondson won a particularly demanding 94th edition, marked by rain, fog, snow and ice.
